Mr. Peterson is the General Manager of a British Securities Company’s Asian subsidiary in Taiwan. Mr. Peterson wants to employ a personal assistant, who must be a bilingual speaker of Chinese and English, to communicate effectively with both local and British staff. After seeing Mr. Peterson’s ad for the position in a major Taiwanese newspaper, Susan Lee applied for the vacancy. She is about to have an interview with Mr. Peterson, and is waiting patiently to meet him.
