Visitors look at water gushing from the Xiaolangdi Reservoir on the Yellow River in Henan province, June 29, 2008. The Yellow River has been plagued by an increasing amount of mud and sand. Each year, the river bed rises as silt deposits build up, slowing the water flow in the lower reaches. The operation was conducted to clear out the silt deposits at the dam.
昨天在中國河南省，遊客觀看黃河小浪底水庫洩洪情形。黃河因泥沙淤積不斷增加，問題相當嚴重。每年黃河河床都會因淤積的泥沙墊高，導致下游水流緩慢。洩洪的目的就在清除淤泥。
